Hey Deviants,
I have a problem with consistency. Some days my work looks awesome and a lot of days I think its poop. I just have a hard time staying consistent with the art I produce. One flip through my sketchbook pages will tell you that. I just get so frustated with myself. with either the lack of patience, creativity, or inspiration. All in all I just feel like something is missing in my work that prevents me from being consistent. I'm not sure what it is but I hop eI find out soon.
Thanks for your time,
J.T.

Devious Journal Entry
All right, so I finally decided to stop being lazy and scanned my sketchbook and upload the pics. Enjoy, and leave some comments, please.

Sup, and good day to you all. No one is probably gonna read this, but I'mma talk anyways. Most people have a sketch book, I carry mine where I go. (Even if I know I won't have time for it) With that said I finally am close to the end of the pages of my current one I've been working on. Took me long enough fill it between all the loose leaf, sticky notes, and various other things I've sketched on.
I feel like I improved, I hope I did. That aside I'll be putting up the two sketch books I have with me up very soon, hopefully within the next week.
Everyone Enjoy life as much as you and I care for most of you...most. ^w^

I don't think consistency is important, just as long as your having fun and like what you produce.
I would advise finding your favorite artstyles and trying to copy them from coloring to how they actually draw the piece, try to recreate an exact copy of the picture, etc
of course you shouldn't claim this as your own, but it helps an artist figute out and learn how the professionals make their pieces, making you learn some things for yourself that you can also use next time you try to make an original piece.
it sounds laborious but is worth the effort
there is also nothing wrong with being inspired by others to create something.
